Why did they nerf SP drops??

I always played SP. One of the reasons, that I play median from 2008. I played a little MP in the goblin season, but sometimes my connection isn't good enough. And I never was a team player.

god you're disingenuous

you have a whole ass section of the forum dedicated to TSW trading(AND a dedicated currency too), single player doesn't have that, therefore SP drop rates were higher so that people could have a better ssf experience, don't pretend like this is some wild mystery or "arbitrary" feature

Marco, I don't know if any further explanation than what was said already is needed on drop rate topic. As you can see I'm not a single crazy person who is negatively impacted by that change. I'm afraid that it can push SP guys from playing mode at all, instead of encourage them to play on MP, which I say from my perspective and probably everyone else who suffer connection/high ping issues/or just not MP games fans.

It's obvious that you won't hear objections from full-MP players, because why would they care at all? But if you ask people who are impacted... lets look for one who would say it was a good change with a candle maybe.

So there is no SP trading subforum, therefore it needs boosted drop rates, but... There is a SP trading subforum you clearly didn't see, and nothing prevents you from using TG with it. Thanks for proving my point I guess, even tho you didn't mean to. :D

We can't seem to reach common grounds for this discussion because you consider SP boosted rates to "not affect MP" while in my eyes, "higher SP drops" and "lower MP drops" are interchangeable synonyms. So really I believe that should answer that.

Either we analyze SP in a vacuum all the time, or none of the time, but not only when it lines up with our arguments. It's funny that MP-only goblins are unfair, but if SP has boosted drop rates, well that's totally fair! I can plug my modem off and still play, how does this affect you sir? Totally not a one-sided view of the situation.

SP trading forum is dead tho, don't pretend like it even comes close to multi trade.

Maybe because... you only ever need to trade for an item once? Have you ever seen someone asking to buy ACs, shrines or similar on SP? Or even any bulk item at all (>1)? Obviously. The term here isn't trading, it's copying, and this is why we didn't have such a subforum before - but the SP community has asked for it and we added it even though we fundamentally don't consider it trading.

It doesn't even matter if we are legit "SP" traders, odds are the other side isn't, and 99% this will be the case, so you end up selling your legit Witchhunter's Hood for Tyrael's Might. Let's use some common sense here, it's dumb to call this trading. Don't fool yourself thinking SP trading is a thing and get some itempack and save time instead. Lack of trading is an intrinsic aspect of SP, just like lag is an intrinsic aspect of MP, and neither needs compensation.

If you think SP needs to be compensated because there is no trading (even though there is a more efficient variant - copying), I could use that same logic to say MP bosses should be easier because people have to put up with lag and desync. And as mind-blowing, as this may be, that's the same as saying SP bosses become harder - because both modes don't exist in a vacuum.

Still do not see arguments on why SSF MP and SSF SP should have different drop rates.

1. You said that your point was proven by the fact that there is a subforum for SP trading, but in your next post you're explaining why trading on SP is dumb and is not a thing. There is trading, but no one uses it, because it sucks, so there is no trading. What is your final opinion then?

2. When it comes to what you said about the goblins, I believe higher drop rates on SP was a compensation for lack of goblins, which was closer to balance this topic than what we have now. Having both higher drop rates and goblins on SP I could agree with you that it would be one-sided view of the situation (even though there's still trade topic, but lets skip it to simplify that for a moment). However, lowering drop rates on SP and having no goblins there isn't that one-sided from MP point of view? In that way you're not only rewarding MP players, but also punishing SP.

3. How it happened that SP had higher drop rates in first place? It wasn't a bug. It wasn't a mistake. it was fully conscious decision that was made after taking into consideration some pros and cons - and differences - between SP and MP. It speaks for itself, that some closer analyze is required here.

Marco, you have a point there. I'm afraid that we won't reach common ground. I feel like you already made up your mind and you're not even try to take into consideration our argumentation, but rather you try to show us where we are mistaken.
