I agree with what op said. From lvl 120 and onwards, progress is slow, but you always have something useful to your character that you can do. I'm lvl 138 at the moment, taking a break to farm Baal and Astrogha for trophies. I just got my first ever kill of Invasion 3 by actually farming Teganze for fire runes. I just hate that fight. Basically if a rift spawns on top of the blue protection circle or he gets immune to all damage at this very moment, it's a guaranteed death. You stay in circle you die from nova, you get out in melee range, damage mitigated by said blue ring will take you out.

I don't feel stopped by semi unobtainable items like Dementia on my build. Fun fact, I got it to drop from Baal an hour ago.

Only complaint so far: My current understanding tells me that the best way of obtaining a Yham rune is by killing Sappling guards in Scosglen. Drop chance seems so small, highest rune I ever got is Mhal. Also, Scosglen charm seems excruciatingly difficult to get in singleplayer singleplayer since that is a lot of luck involved in getting the parts. Not mentioning finding said bosses.

With maximum resistances available on several runewords and bosses rewards, it is grindy and skill based. Ages better than before though. So far I feel no need to get umo's. I can fix everything through jewels, runes and regular mo's

Fauztinville drops rehaul is more than welcome, this place was terrible and boring before. Honestly not the biggest fan of the new Astrogha fight, but I understand that it is way more accessible for all builds. Big thumbs up from me.

Thanks for the comments so far guys! There is still a clear divide, and it seems mostly split amongst these two lines: 1. Skill Diversity (as in ability to select multiple skills from multiple trees and not be shoehorned into a single tree) to which I still agree, but I see the devs making choices slowly to break down these barriers, and 2. End Game Content (as in the ability for ALL classes to be able to kill and farm ALL bosses). You can probably add mercenaries to this list as well, but those first two take priority. I still think issue #1 could use more refining, such as on a Sorc, ARCANE and MELEE could play really really nice together IF the trees didn't require 50-points into each tree. Anyway, you get my point.

Balancing around diversity AND specialization is a very hard thing to do. That's why most games just balance around specialization.

As an example, vanilla D2 forced diversity with immunes in hell and it was a nightmare

so true, but now i see they slowly started changing that where you dont need to level passives for 30 points like in barbarian summoner, leaving more points for something else, eventually they will get it and find better solutions.

My current biggest complaint its when they do some strange game mechanics, like they did with holy paladin or amazon spear and druid bow
Where for dealing your damage you need precast something or stacking 5 attacks etc... what you guys think about this?
For example i was playing spearzon, using great hunt + takedown, every time when you lose stacks you need to stack 5 attacks for maximum charges + every 20-30 sec stack phys res, to just normally play class, can you imagine how your hands will feel after 10h playing like that? (also very fun when hits not registering bcs desync, or great hunt do shitty damage bcs mob position etc)

I think whole spearzone is weak, maybe playable as boss killer but nightmare for farming.

why bother making a game if only 1% of people ever finish it?

just buy one?

100tg is easy enough to farm just selling sets, arcane crystals, and other not-so-rare items (and you can get one for less than 100)

edit: forgot about single player and self-found runs lol my bad

Not just skill deversity, man! It's also about the balance. This season my Cherudin got nerfed to useless, and then I hope in Stormcrow, because of way of the raven. But turns out it's a bait. And trust me, this season, many many people died with storm crow. A precious season once a year T.T
