As in, is it insufficient or too much?

way, way insufficient. between deathlord and death pact you should have well over 500k. If you can post screenshots or notarmory link to your build maybe we can lend a hand?

again, post your build and we can suggest.

MXL is not the kind of game where you can just wing a build and it just works, every build requires knowledge of most game mechanics (and there's a lot of them). While I'd agree that melee nec is not the most meta build, it is by no means unusable and can complete most content if properly built

Assuming that people should have encyclopedic knowledge before they even start playing is beyond redundant, and i have played for a couple of years, but imagine if you just started playing the mod. Should i expect to be able to blast through the content without thought or tactics on a free-form build? Heck no. But you shouldn´t be punish for Not following a build. Thats one of the points i outlined earlier and it stands as a real fear of mine, in a similar vain to PoE, its gonna default to "Just follow a guide". Thats a thing i actively try to avoid.

It should be simple enough to just pick up and play.

MXL is explicitly not a game that's simple to pick up and play, by design.

for the third time, if you really want constructive criticism, just post the build and we'll give you some pointers

Well, any quick and easy way to do that? But likewise, i must still refute that notion, because even if my current "build" is lacking, that alone should not act as an excuse to obfuscate mechanical shortcomings.

they are not mechanical shortcomings if your build is wrong :P

you are not supposed to succeed with a build that's not done properly. Mind you, this doesn't mean that there's only one way to build it, but that there are factors to keep in mind that will make you fail in different ways if you don't cover them.

quickest way would be a notarmory link

"There isnt only one way to build it"

"If you dont build exactly like this, it will fail"

Im sorry, what?
