i have a clean Installation from Windows , D2 +LOD and Median and the new Median Installer.
If i use Glide in the Game my Game turned very dark and i cannot use Gamma ( doesnt work ). In Directx it is at little bit better. So i download the D2GL make everything as it mentioned Step by Step but if i am ingame the Game is still dark and i cannot open with Control +O the Ingame Menu ( wont work ).

Clean D2 Installation and Median ( + new Installer )
the 3 Files are in c:/games/median-xl i overwrite files as the Guide mentioned.

doesnt matter it is Fullscreen or Borderless i cannot open with control +O

i check Gilde and Glide3x.dll
and can switch to Directx and it is the same.

What doing i am wrong. Can anybody help me please im trying this now for 4 hours in a row.

Is it maybe my D2 because its 1.14 from Blizzard directly ?

Help please :D

Thanks

I have the same problem. Additionally, my font doesn't look clean as before. Maybe they have the same reason?

i downloaded a 1.13c Version of D2 and now it works. So maybe something is wrong with the Blizzard download.

Hi there. I had the same problem, and with this settings in the Glide it was solved. Maybe it will work in your settings, too..
Use in settings "Desktopresolution"
In Renderer disable "no gamma" and enable "shader-gamma"
In the launcherthe i use the settings "Display Fullscreen" and "Rendering Glide"
If it is dark yet, start a game and open the game settings to change gamma.
Good luck and enjoy the game :)

BTW, the new launcher don´t install a Glide, so you have to downloaded it from the web.

You have to open the Glide directly.

This is the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II
Normaly the Glide is stored here.
Double click it to pen and you can do your settings

If you have the Diablo II icon on your desktop, rightclick it, click "show path", the file opens and so you see all properties, including the Glide.
In case that the Glide isn´t there you have to download it from the web.

Glide by Sven is included by default.
D2GL is not.

Glide3x.dll is around 2 mb if you use d2gl, where glide3x.dll by Sven is 136 kb, one way to check were you able to copy files into mxl mod folder.

As guide says make sure to allow custom files, EXIT from the launcher and extract d2gl files into MXL mod directory.
Run the launcher, if it says Update that is not good, probably process got stuck in task manager. I would restart PC just in case, extract files again, run the launcher, should say Play.

Version doesn't matter since launcher will take care of that.

If someone has a question feel free to ask.
