I’ve also been bouncing between a few games in that same mode where nothing sticks longer than a few sessions. One of the few things I keep returning to is CS: GO, mainly for the click-heads dopamine, but lately, I’ve been more into the whole skin-collecting scene than actually playing. It’s one of the few games where the trading and item ecosystem is just as addictive as the gameplay itself. I went down a rabbit hole, looking up rare cosmetics and the stories behind them.

Some of those weapon skins are insane in terms of price. I saw a list of the most expensive CS: GO skins and couldn’t believe people shelled out that kind of money. It’s like the NFT market but with better designs. Check this link here for more information: https://skincashier.com/blog/most-expensive-csgo-skins

Gold standard for a remake
Image

In Resident Evil 2, the classic action, tense exploration, and puzzle solving gameplay that defined the Resident Evil series returns. Players join rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies.

Continuing trend of playing all my resident evil i had from bundle had lead me to this remake. I already know how high people praised so of course I come with high expectation. I never played the original version on PS2, so i wouldnt know what is the difference between this version and the original one sadly.

It is kinda well known that resident series try to change their gameplay perspective after third entry, which become super popular with the release of resident evil 4. Using the RE engine that capcom used to make RE7, they made full use its graphic fidelity to one gorgeous looking game. The location look very details and the suspense / horror part of the game is pretty top notch. On top of that, they introduced a chaser that will make your life miserable trying to navigate the maze-like level that full puzzle solving.

However i noticed couple of glaring issues. First it feel like the character interaction / dialogue is awkward as well. Also despite being 2 protagonist game, both characters rarely interact with each other. Instead they have their own side characters that have mixed quality. Enemy is also very annoying in this game, especially the default zombie being so tanky even on stardard difficulty. But the most horrible is definite the boss fight. At first it was scuffed with lacked of resource, but the 2nd one is straight unfair fight in smallest area.

Resident evil 2 remake is definitely one of the good one despite not being my favourite (that would be RE4). The experience playing it was nice and I could play blind much without resorting to walkthrough (still read it if i got stuck). It have all formula that what made old school RE 2 so terrifying while not alienating modern audience.

tl;dr PLEASE PLAY IT. Not because it just good game, but how optimized the graphic and pacing for a video games.

Back with slum moment again, actually i dont have mood to write proper review.
Recent game i played:

1. Resident Evil 3 : Awful bombastic linear resident evil. Somehow the zombie become much more tankier / faster despite you have more weapons to mow them down. Nemesis have become a joke, weird chase scenes and bad boss fight.
2. Atlas Fallen : Open world, old traditional action metroidvania game. It was kinda repetitive with open world and combat system, but customization on skills is kinda top notch. One of misopportunity for memorable game. Ppl said it pretty much darksiders + far cry.
3. Trepang 2 : Somehow this game give F.E.A.R vibes. But the experience is arcade-y so far. FPS with slow-mo and stealth ability, and somehow the game keep throw many enemies toward you. Almost 0 story.
4. Venba : Cooking mama + visual novel. Only played short abit, but i really need to be in right state of mind to enjoy it.
5. Boxes : The room series wannabe puzzle game. As usual, you just fiddle around with mystery boxes and trying to unlock them. Not much story, and the puzzle can be unintuitive once a while (like i missing 1 small place to click, had to use hint)
6. The Bazaar : The biggest time consumer for past 1 week. Made by reynad from hearthstone, supposed to be a game that you can just spend abit of money and get access to set of 100 items. The ended up becoming async multiplayer roguelike ala super auto pet.

Im looking forward mid may to sub xbox game pass
The target is expedition 33 and doom dark ages, but we will (since my gpu is still low spec)
