Heroic Library of Fate evolution


A breath of fresh air for endgame levelling

  • Added versions with area levels 133, 136, 139, and 140
  • Allows characters to reach maximum level without venturing into the Dimensional Labyrinth
  • Due to popular demand: level sizes have been greatly expanded. Added a new map variant and a new Elite enemy
  • A brand new type of endgame quest awaits at the pinnacle of this progression, testing your character strength and your wit

Paragon of Fate
  • A new category of skills has been added to the reward tab, granting bonuses for reaching character levels above 130
  • The first of these will be Paragon of Fate, which allows players to specialize in running the Heroic Library of Fate
  • Your grind will be rewarded with more than stats. The bonuses make the Library significantly more lucrative. Rewards include:
    • Ability to create portals to the new higher levels of the Rift
    • Increased drops of Heavenly Souls and Angelic items
    • Ability to reroll Angelic bases with Heavenly Souls
    • Exclusive drops: new Rare only Mystic Orbs and Mark of the Angiris chase item
    • Invitations to the Trials of the Angiris pinnacle content

The patch is packed with a huge amount of game improvements

Grit
  • Gone are the days when Strength was the worst attribute, time in the gym will now pay off
  • Strength will now grant all characters a new stat called "Grit", visible on the first page of the character sheet
  • Grit grants a global damage reduction bonus, which is multiplicative with other defences
  • Grit scales from total Strength and Character Level, in a similar manner to block
  • The maximum mitigation amount is 25%, which will require 6000 Strength for a Level 150 character
  • Melee devotion now doubles the damage mitigation gain from strength, but does not increase the cap

eXtreme Self Found
  • A new gameplay mode for those who want to take the challenge of SSF to the next level
  • In XSF, your character is completely isolated: no other characters, not even your own, can ever join your game
  • This means absolutely no trading, no group play, and critically, no muling items between characters

Quality of Life
  • Added autocomplete functionality for chat commands, player and account names
  • Added copy/paste, cut and clear all functionality to the chat
  • Mystic Orbs now display the amount of times they can be applied to an item
  • Shrines and Vessels are now 1x1 items
  • Enchanted runes and Greater Signets of Learning now have containers
  • Dimensional Labyrinth charm upgrade progress will now be tracked on the charm
  • And much more...

Sound system improvements
  • Added more sounds effects to warn players during endgame quests, where appropriate
  • Increased the sound priority for dangerous abilities of endgame bosses, these sound effects will no longer be obscured by others
  • Parsed through the sound effects of every single class skill:
    • Removed cases of sound effects overlap, improving performance on old PCs
    • Balanced the volume to be more consistent, eliminating cases where a skill was too loud or too quiet
    • Replaced the sound effects where the existing one was a poor fit for the ability

Build Improvements


Big changes in store for Paladins, Amazons, and oSkill fans

Templar Paladin
  • Retaliate: will now consistently hit twice per target. Clear is now stronger and more consistent
  • Divine Judgment: increased number of hits while duration remains unchanged. Now performs better against mobile enemies
  • Can now pick one of the following paths:
    • Consecration: now gives a passive WPD bonus and life leech, on top of the damage to Demons/Undead bonuses. Unable to deal fire damage
    • Sanctity: new passive granting and IED bonus, life on striking, and flat Strength and Dexterity. Penalises weapon physical damage
  • Lionheart: buffed Vitality bonus and added Deadly Strike scaling based on Strength
  • Hand of God stat scaling increased, reworked outdated class specific items to better fit the build and added a brand new weapon

Spearzon
Hyena Strike has been reworked completely, enables a poison themed play style:
  • Now places a damage over time debuff on the enemy attacked
  • This debuff will spread aggressively to nearby targets for the duration of the skill
  • Deals poison damage per second based on Skill Level, your total weapon poison damage
  • Each fury charge increases the poison weapon damage contribution by 100%
  • At 5+ charges, no longer spreads but duration is doubled
  • Careful charge management will be essential to get the most out of this powerful ability

Medusa
Overhauled into a beastly single target ability which scales with minion stats
  • Serpent heads no longer have next hit delay, greatly increased weapon damage modifier
  • Number of heads scales with minion damage, increasing total damage up to 60%
  • While attacking: -5 Attack Rating per Dexterity, +111 Attack Rating per 1% Summoned Minion Attack Rating
  • Skill can only be used with scythes and spears, rolls on scythes and soulbinder gloves

Patriot Sentry
It wouldn't be a July 4th announcement without shouting out this rework!
  • Removed next hit delay and greatly increased weapon damage modifier
  • Converts 60% of your weapon damage to fire
  • Gains bonus fire damage based on Skill Level and your combined Fire and Lightning pierce
  • As a result, this trap is now an excellent clearing ability for dense areas

Many more balance changes and optimizations for other classes will be included in the full patch notes

  • Rebalanced the Corruption system and made outcomes dependent on the base item. No more irrelevant "successes"
  • Greatly improved the rewards of the Hellforge quest, it is now a must do
  • New reward system for Heroic Dungeons
  • Build enabling reworks to multiple Sacred uniques
  • Rare items are now much more powerful early on and viable alternatives for levelling
  • Buffs to non-jewel socketables to make them more distinct and competitive
  • Changes to many sets, including some oSkill ones
