Hopefully there will be a (private) alpha before end of september. Me more than anyone wants this to get released. I'm aiming for a 2016 release however nothing can be guaranteed. This is a huge project and it will also require a much bigger infrastructure, for the forums and online community. The idea is to pay for at least 5 new gameservers, one in asia, two in the US and two in europe. There is a lot that can and will go wrong so we just have to be patient. But I guarantee that once you can grab it with your hands, you will break into tears. It won't be just another patch.

Anyways it's picture time. More levels work. Introducing in median:
Level Segmentation Tran Athulua and the Twin Seas are now connected in the worldmap:

This looks irrelevant but it's actually quite a big deal. Being able to create more areas in sigma will allow for uberquest segmentation, which consists of creating a major area that contains multiple levels. In this case, Tran Athulua is inside the Twin Seas - but they're not the same level. This means they can have different monsters, area level, densities, illumination, etc.
However in this particular example there are not many practical implications, because: how is this much different than having a tomb in the twin seas take you to tran athulua, as it is in ultimative now? It only makes a lot more sense from an aesthetic point of view.
But think about Yshari Sanctum. There are different stages in the level and they have different monsters, but that's because I placed the 3000 mobs by hand. It's no coincidence than when you enter there are always the same three guys. With this segmentation, yshari could be a collection of areas, each own having it's own monster population, but generated dynamically. But it doesn't end there, segmentated areas will mean all areas are individual levels. This can allow some cool things such as scrolls taking you to specific parts of the level, in this particular case, you could for example get a scroll that takes you to the jungle part. Sorry for textwall.
