or just reroll a rare or craft a jewel for indestructible. It doesn't take long.

Sacred Uniques are quite cheap to repair, you must have socketed runes in there so the price went higher.

Talking about durability, I wonder if whist can change it to d3 concept where durability reduced when you died rather than when melee attack / take damage hit from monster.

So that there will be no disadvantage using melee swing for fast weapon (katar exceptionally break very fast at low level)

I don't check this topic often but that actually seems like a decent suggestion.

Thought about such a thing: Xis runes and CotWs can be unsocketed but either of the things gets destroyed when unsocketing: 50% chance that it will be Xis rune+all jewels/CotW and 50% chance that it will be the item they were socketed into (perfect eth broad sword, SSSU etc). So basically, you wouldn't want to risk but if you're feeling lucky you can try unsocketing recipe.

It would be better if you could choose item, that will be destroyed. There are already too many lottery mechanics in crafting for me.

That would effectively make it so that Xis runes can be unsocketed for the majority of items, since you could just make the RW with some sacred base item that is easy to get.


Btw if such a recipe is added (with the 50% chance to destroy either) it should be different from the usual 3Pgems + Oil of Disjunction one for RWs, otherwise some noob will try to unsocket his Xis RW without realizing what the recipe does and end up losing his Xis rune.

I think there should be two new rcipes: 3Pgems + Oil of Disjunction + some_additional_reagent_1 and 3Pgems + Oil of Disjunction + some_additional_reagent_2. One of them destroys Item, and other destroys Xis rune and other socetables.
