The gamblers can give you T6 weapon and shield just keep opening/closing them until the axe and shield appears. It's better/faster than looking for them in the ground, then you can make them to TU's with the recipe. That's what LH meant.

Otherwise, I would say no. You never have to strictly follow a guide. Guides are just guides. They aren't rules. Only thing is they're generally tested and all items considered and the ones listed are pretty much what the author felt was most beneficial.

The main advantage of TUs is that you can craft tier 2-3 versions of them early on and keep upgrading them easily with the uptier recipe. The base items to make the TUs are easy to gamble too, as long as you don't want a specific high tier. Just takes some time and a lot of clicking at the vendor.

If you're at the point where you already have an On rune then there's no point in getting a TU, unless the TU is specifically useful. At that point you should be preparing to switch to Sacred gear anyway.

That said... I would probably still gamble a T4-6 Setzschild and uptier it to T6 before using it for a RW. The high defense is really useful.

Thanks in advice.

1) Natasha is fine as an armour choice, not the best in terms of offence but great defensive stats. Using a heavy base armour is undesirable however.
2) In the latest patch amazon 1h cast rate got buffed (on top of stormcall damage), so the creep is not a must anymore. For single player use 1h + shield. Breakpoint is 174 FHR for 5 FPA.
3) The problem with the new bona dea is that you sacrifice a lot of defence (15tcd orbs & a lot of enhanced def). If you are going to use a heavily defensive body armour like natasha tho I would use the XIS version of the helm
4) If you don't have hide of the basilisk SSSU chain mail then you should definitely roll a hailstorm amulet, it's worth it.
5) Greg's Silent Scream set gloves are quite common so I would try to get a pair. Until then just use honourifics with light spell damage, magic spell damage, tcd & enhanced def (4 sockets also).
