Totally useless, especially now, when ubers got hardened and monsters deal more damage. You'll need a good proc to wipe monsters out and, unfortunately, Quill Spike is not one of them.

The reason to use Raptor scythe over Bonesplitter is because of the weapon speed, right?

However, is it just to make hitting the last breakpoint for IAS easier or is it borderline impossible when using a Bonesplitter?

Bonesplitter needs 70 IAS after basic charms, Raptor hits last BP with basic charms alone. Also Raptor is faster when you get slowed in fauzt/triune.

10 point base damage difference with 500 ED and 2000 EWD using parasite = 10*6*21*1.25 = 1575 damage.
