Is there any good castable ranged fire and/or magic spell dmg oskill on rare items/SU's?

For example ring of light is a good high dmg fire castable, but it's more of a close quarters spell. I'm looking for a fire and/or magic spell that's got some range to it.

Magic - Psicrown from rare/crafted circlet. Totally rapes anything if you have 20k+ mana (requires investing heavily into energy);

, great for farming, but, again, does more damage in close range. Also Brimstone from rare/crafted Paladin helms (iirc, spawns on scepters too).

If a skill says that it "hit multiple times" like Sor's Tempest or Paladins Frozen Breath, does the skill actually hit the same target more than once? Or the skill is just a piecing ability that hits enemies in the back too so it "hits multiple times"?

Hi thanks. If so then how many times does the skill hit? Like does tempest hit a skeleton for 3 times, 5 times or 25 times, etc? And does the multiple hit happens 100% chance of the time? If not then what are the factors that triggers it?

I don't know the exact mechanics for sorc spells. I know things like necro's frost/light totem and tantrum oskill for crafted/rare bows/Ort RW hits for 25 times per second.

Hmm... i'm not if sure lightning totem hits 25 times per sec. At least it seems worse than fire.

Pretty sure the skill icon directly says that. The damage for fire totems listed is the damage per little fireball. Not total. Fire is much better in general.

Question: Is there any incentive to even try all the uberquests at Hatred difficulty? Are the rewards are gonna help me or worth it?
