OK, so I decided to start over in SP because my Internet is getting weird again, and I noticed that had I started alone, perhaps I wouldn't have chosen Labrys to start off, but rather dual wield with Blood Hatred. The reason that this is that it's incredibly annoying to get a source of life regen and gear is very sparse (and I get tired of box farming easily) early on and it would take too long to make the Labrys work. So after killing the summoner I told myself fuck it I go dual wield, and suddenly everything got destroyed. Rushed through a3 in 15 minutes, and the Meph fight took like 2 minutes because my weapon has 44 base dmg, but Blood Hatred OP, I was invincible. So yeah, I think that Fumbles' build is pretty solid, got some gear for it already. Ancients' Hand is certainly something I'll use when I can get a helm. But yeah, overall it seems like Labrys is more of an endgame option. It's not that it's not viable at all, but going dual wield or with a shield seems to be much stronger early and midgame.
