hey, about the unformed land,
i am playing a limpet laser assassin and have -200% enemy cold resistance and limpet laser kills the snowballs just fine. Altough much slower than everything else. I assume that is how it is intended.
I also am using a bloodmage hireling. He is equipped with -200% enemy fire resistance but his pyroblast still heals the fireballs. Since Pyroblast hits so often I assume they must have flat absorb, right? If so, does anybody know how much they have? Maybe low enough for pyroblasts damage to surpass it? With good enough gear I mean?

You could use an immo/nova bomb claw, with
Dar-Al-Harb
Dar-Al-Harb
Assassin Shields

'FalUm'
Runeword Level: 58
+(3 to 4) to Assassin Skill Levels
15% Cast Speed
0.25% to Fire Spell Damage (Based on Character Level)
0.25% to Lightning Spell Damage (Based on Character Level)
+(16 to 19) to Summon Darklings
+(19 to 22) to Skeletal Flayer
+25 to Dexterity
5% to Dexterity
+25 to Energy
Elemental Resists +10%
+
Wizard's Path
and a bloodlust source you will have like +500% to elemental dmg, so you just need a bit of -res and you have two nice hard hitting elemental spells. Or psionic storm also kills them faster than limpet. The cool thing about IMMO bomb is that it you can cast it behind a corner and kill everyone in that room without anyone seeing you. It's slower than pounce builds but nice for farming the first items.

Looking for knowledgeable opinions...I'm starting from scratch and I'm deciding between a caster druid or an UHC pally, which do you recommend for untwinked ladder?

Both are very good starter chars. It's up to what you enjoy playing more. Caster druid has the benefit of Mythal for heroics which can force resists to drop, the skill rain of fire can destroy the likes of brachy/astro etc. UHC gets a ton of stats and spell damage from skills, gets sacred armor which can be useful. Pally gets DR from BRC skill while druid gets TCD. Take your pick

2 questions about experience:

How does experience work in areas above your level, and how does experience sharing work with players of different level?

I don't have exact numbers, but you get less XP the further away the level difference is when fighting very high level monsters. You could be level 1 and kill destruction baal and only gain 1 XP literally. I couldn't explain how tcows gives so much XP however, I think they just give an insane amount of experience regardless of the level difference.

I'm not too sure about XP split between allies however.
