What's the best merc for clearing trash? A2 or A3 (lite?), or maybe even A5 wolf?

Also does holy freeze affect bosses in nm/hell?

@Istaryu He's on realm, but he makes lots of private games.

@cowking Dunno bout the freeze thing, it should be far from OP tho. As for mercs, A3 Cold merc can kill stronger monsters somewhat easily with Blizzard. At the same time he's quite fragile at times. If you were to decide that he's too fragile, A5 mercs tank stuff very well.
Overall very important to gear either of them as best you can.

So I tried this 10 level dungeon that was talked about earlier. Just about every enemy is undead so leech doesn't work, nice.

First boss (technically second but real first is so easy it doesn't count) drops shit after being way too hard

I then run into kabraxis and he was a piece of work, cool battle

Got a nice new weapon

Then you duel belial and azmodan in this cool arena

Afterwards you descend into hell (literally and figuratively)

And then your game shuts down when you're at the entrance to the final boss (I think)

GG... will try again sometime. Is the charm description in database still correct (+1 zeal, +10% xp)?

I could have actually tested but isenhart's set description is wrong in database, it gives 10% slows target instead of holy freeze. It's actually a good set (easy max block + slows target + chill = easy tanking).

I've still yet to decide which aura I'll spec into as main since I obviously won't be using might. Have to decide between holy freeze/salvation/defiance/redemption. Holy freeze would be very good if it works vs. bosses, unless the % has been heavily nerfed like amplify damage (which I recently noticed).

Do you know if sanctuary aura still allows leeching from undead in HU? Definite one pointer in that case.

Well I tested sanctuary with holy craft on realm and it didn't work, so either someone was full of shit in google or it's been changed in HU.

You game shut down? Well, that's strange.
In any case, next time you attempt Samhain, make sure that you have completed the necessary quests (Nihla + personalize an item, perhaps some others, but this one I know is needed 100%), because otherwise you won't be able to enter the portal.

I'm actually using KoKoMal shield, but I don't remember lol. What it does for sure is remove physical resist.

They do have Zeal and they aren't the fastest trash killers.
The problem with the A3 mercs though is that they die way too easily.

if you guys didnt know there will be an update and new ladder in january, and from what i can tell you the next version will be a lot different

i think they have a new patch every january. you have any detailed info on it? hu forum is getting flooded by bots 24/7, so i dont really bother to check it anymore

well it will be based on patch version earlier than 1.6 and it will be made so that unique items will be more worth to uptier and all unique armor will be based around 100ed. there is also some planned changes to skills and game difficulty but dont remember what it was, been a while and this info is sporadically put everywhere on the forum

well either way gonna try it out, really hope for EU server tho
