defense won't be touched. Only minion life is 50% less effective.

Deathlord adds defense in addition to your def on items. Say Deathlord adds 50 k def and you already have 30 k def from your gear, you have a total of 65 k, because the def of your items is halved.

Let's say you have your own 100 str and 100 dex (fully naked with 0 def), then you cast Deathlord and added 100 more str and dex + 1000% of total str dex added to def. In total you will get 200 str, 200 dex and (200+200)*10=4000 def.
Now let's say you put some points into Death ward and got 200% TCD so now result will be 200 str, 200 dex and ((200+200)*10)*3 = 12k def

I'm aware of how much destruction difficulty adds, but does this mean that -135% lightning resist is the highest effecive pierce on normal mobs, or will -300% pierce even more?
