Too bad thundercrack cant proc on-melee, other wise that item idea sound nice.

thundercrack mechanics are odd because of the skill function it uses. It has a few limitations such as not being able to proc on-melee skills. But the mechanism itself is very unique because it's a melee skill with level-based missile count scaling, there is no other skill like this.

Yeah I went with Honorific scepter myself when I leveled one. Didn't feel that great back then though. Don't think Shark RW would have cut it, I went with Honorific because I wasn't doing enough damage.

I should try it again now that the pierce bug was fixed I guess.

I got to Terror with this Hammer of Zerae zon and I'm giving up. Same criticism I gave before stands, this builds just feels too bad against lightning immunes for me to continue. I'm wearing a T4 Albrecht's Revenge TU for the +cold damage and arrow-on-striking proc and my weapon is a T3 Enyo RW War Scepter. With any other build this much investment should be more than enough, but not here.

Watching rest of enemies disappear in 1-2 seconds and then slowly wearing down regular non-elite, non-uber lightning mobs in Terror Stony Field just isn't fun. If this was a lightning caster build like Mindflay UHC or Tempest Sorc I'd just switch to my second elemental or phys/magic spell and kill them. If it was some other WDM build the physical damage from my weapon or other +/%ele damage from skills would be enough to kill them. But here I have no other element to use and the gap between by physical damage and lightning damage on HoZ is gigantic.

I'm not saying that one skill should be able to clear everything (and I actually hate how Stormcall can do that and hit whole screen in one cast, stupid OP skill IMO), I'm saying I should at least have the option of switching to something else and clearing with the same speed. But right now my only choice is to scale physical or fire/cold damage from gear, and I don't want to spend this much time on it.

Also Hammer of Zerae is pretty bad in LC1. By the time I'm able to get near enemies, cast the spell and have the hammer spiral out and hit them I take way too much damage and can easily die. Only way is to cast it and pull zons through it, but even that is risky and doesn't kill them fast. Thundercrack is worse. I ended up doing it by spamming Fire Elementals and using their death proc. Stormcall makes it easy too.

Idk why you got to Terror and haven't make a Fal zon helm.... and/or roll a Hailstorm amy... :shock: if you think Hailstorm is slow then you can also look for shadow avatar in amy - it has timer but has nice aoe, the dmg is great and considering you have cold dmg from fal helm already.

he testing WDM storm zon, caster have no problem since buffed with sceptre cast speed.


atm, i dunno why i cant melee like a spearzon despite wearing a shield.
seem like getting hit / block alot

only hammer of zerae work nicely because of high WDM dmg and flat lightning dmg (seem it can multiple hits per target at 1 spot)
