you ned to have the book aura equipped. there will be a purple skull icon by your mana globe. if it's not active, re-equip the book. you're probably using an item with orange text or weapon switching that is removing the aura.


Well i did have the book so basically i needed to drop and pick the book back up and it would have fixed it? And i do weapon swap for one of my auras so that makes sense now.

presumably using an item on main hand or an amulet or something with fancy orange text that when weapon switching, disables the aura (known bug, still aiting on fix I think) just click the book to pick up and click to place it, don't have to physically drop it on the ground. check for the purple icon by mana orb to know tis working.

Sweet good to know. Been farming for the trophy for a while now and only run into it yesterday and happen twice. Didnt even think about checking that icon either. Thanks. \m/

To make the TaXis rune you will combine Rune (Ta in this case) + Xis Rune → Enhanced Rune

This makes the rune you need for Shark. From there simply prep your Weapon for the Runeword, Craft your jewels, then load the 5 Jewels+TaXis Rune you made. And no once you make this item you can never unsocket it so be careful and again prep your Weapon as good as you can make it before loading it. If its Ethereal Base make sure one Jewel has Indestructible mod.

I also have a question.. Where the hell do people farm Experiance after 140? a Full Clear of Fauzt right now at 140 gives me exactly 10exp... Thats like 40 maybe 50 Exp per Hour if im going hard AND full Clearing.. I mean is that really it? Or am i missing something?


Dont get me wrong but i couldnt find a ta run only a tal thats becouse i am asking ... i just found the tal run and its the same picture as on the TaXis rune ... so do i cube a tal+xis to get TaXis?

I've got two options for helmets at the moment and I need some advice. One is

I'm wondering if the Area effect and bonus Magic damage on the latter is as good as it sounds, particularly if combined with +STR on all items and given the fact that A5 mercs already have high STR. Any advice is welcome!

1) "on attack" : only the target you melee-attack can trigger the proc.
"on striking" : every weapon-based damage can trigger the proc.

example: Thunderslam from barbar. if you hit an enemy, you proc "on attack" and "on striking" and the weapon-based nova dmg, which hit the other targets around the target will proc "on striking"-effects but not "on attack". ranged attacks, like via bows, throwing weapons do not proc on attack

2) Melee/Ranged attacks and the other is weapon-based-damage (when the skill you use says: deals xx% weapon dmg) and basicly not weapon-based weapon dmg (mostly caster spells or summon spells)

3) It is instant but works only with weapon-based physical dmg. Works like striking, so every weapon-based physical dmg will leech you life. But in hell you need a lot to notice a differnce. does work with ranged-weapons.

4) Combat Speed is: Attack Speed + Casting Speed + FHR + Faster Block (but not Faster Run/Walk) (like all res is: fire + cold +lighting + poisen but not physical)

Yes its all in the documentation. Not quite sure why its showing the last letter of each of the enhanced runewords missing like that. That does add some confusion. But if you notice ALL of them are like that. But yes Tal+Xis=Tal-Xis TaXis whatever.. Which will give you Enhanced Shark Weapon. It even shows the same Enhanced Runes Icons for each as well just go by that. Hell i didn't even notice those typos till you mentioned it and ive made several of those Enhanced Runewords with no issues. Provided of course you load Jewels first.. made that mistake before.. NOT Gems.

, but i'm not sure if you have that specific SSU). With keeping in mind that their stat scaling have no any effect on mercs (at least merc screen telling so) - i guess you obviously can go for Metalhead or maybe there's even better options. I'm not that fan of detailed merc gearing :)
OR! You still can roll some good crystal sword with let's say AoE and Banish on melee atk.. then it may work.

Thanks for the detailled answer. Actually I like mercs so I'm not too disappointed when melee oriented items drop, as I always play range char. It's like having a GI Joe.
