Been thinking about this as well. If recoding the message system in the game cannot be done, it would be nice to have an official third-party app that binds(or something as an overlay) with the diablo executable that acts as a chatting system that consists of some layers such as a global chat where everyone can discuss, a party chat where only people in your created room can read, a trade chat for the obvious reasons and a guild chat for potential guild communities. The chat can have its own server if it is proposed as a third party overlay app or just you know, recode the chat system(which may take a fuckton work than creating an independent app itself).

The old diablo 2 blizzard chatting system is very outdated and lacks so much features which totally creates an almost alienating experience for modern users.

As much as this suggestion is not important as you might think, chatting has always been a nice break from all those repetitive grinding from arpg games.

You can make friends around the world, and exchange current world news with people that are actually where things happen. If online play was just for playing through with other people and trading I wouldn't still be playing this game. I'll continue to play it if the chat stays as is, but it would be a nice touch is all ;)

On the topic of theme-based items which are being planned for Sigma, I was wondering if it makes sense to include the original modifiers of the constituent rune(s) themselves in the runeword. A simple example would be a runeword item requiring say runes Tal and Ral - it would give additional modifiers such as say -enemy fire resistance, % bonus to all attributes in addition to the % fire spell damage and flat attribute points that runes Ral and Tal provide respectively. So the original 'theme' of the runes themselves would be retained in the runeword. It will give players more flexibility in terms of creating runewords; for example, a fire-cold sorceress would build a runeword of Ral-Thul, whereas a lightning-cold sorc would build one of ort-thul.

Make some sort of container for crafting oils that can be used in cube recipes so we dont have to individually move oils every transmute. Make this work for shrine vessels too. Instead of holding full shrine, make it hold charges and allow to be used in cube instead of removing shrine from vessel to use shrines indivdually.

I think the whole crafted and rerolling system (oils, shrines) will get a massive rework, it was already mentioned iirc :scratch:

imo crafting should work like honorifics do now, current crafting is too similar to rare rerolling

With all the talk about reorganizing unique items, what about Valkyrie's Prime? Considering how much work goes into crafting that bow, and not all classes/specs can use it, how about adding more recipes/unique items that all the tokens can be used for?
